I have just returned from my trip to Thailand. I had visited two places where I have seen that tigers are ill treated. 1. At Nong Nooch Village at Pattaya, a large (female) tiger is tied to a chain and is made to sit for hours for tourists to pose with it for 50 TBH. I have also seen the care taker beat the tiger with a wooden stick.

2. At Safari World in Bangkok, in a small cage, they had kept 7 tiger cubs, all separated from their mothers. They are fed milk through bottles by two people who are in charge of the cubs. I asked them whether the cubs are released back to their mother in the evening; they said that the cubs remained in the cage and are fed by the caretakers and are not given back to the mothers. These cubs are kept there in a cage for tourists to pay 300 TBH to pose with the cubs. In fact, they also had another cage, with a bigger cub. It hurt me the most to see the cubs crying out in the heat, wanting to get out of the cage. Tiger cubs that small, ought to be with their mothers. In fact, no tiger (no animal), should ever be caged or tied.

I am more concerned about the tigers as they are listed under the endangered species in India and I am all for saving the tiger.

Please help. I would like the cubs to be released back to their mothers and the large adult tiger in Nong Nooch Village to be given a large enclosure to move around freely, instead of being tied to an iron chain.

It would be much better if they at least did not have the tigers tied or caged. They have birds and a chimpanzee, where you can take a picture with them. But the chimp and the birds are not caged or tied. They seemed fit and happy. It was the tiger and the cubs plight that I could not bear to see.

Warm regards,
Tanya

Aaj beautiful national anilmal tigers is dunia me apne jeevan ke liye lad rahe hai. ham sabhi ko milkar tigers ko bachane ke liye milkar kuchh na kuchh jarur karna hoga, warna wo din dur nahi jab ye tigers bhi gujre kal ki kahani ho jayegi. hame milkar awaaz uthne ki jarurat hai. hum sabko milkar rally nikal kar humare desh ki sarkaar ko jagaana padega, ki tigers ki safety ke liye aur unke jyada jeevan ke liye kuchh na kuchh jarur kiya. agar hum sab ye kah kar baat taal denge ki humare akele se kya hoga. to koi bhi aage nahi badega, ye tigers apne muh se kuchh bhi nahi kah sakte hai, par hume inki dil ki baat samajhni chahiye, jo ye kahte hai ki, hume bhi jeene do humko bhi jeene ka haq hai. ek chhoti si soch kabhi asar dikhagi aap aage bad kar to dekhiye. kyuki suruwat humko hi karni hogi, warna humre desh ke ye tigers nahi rahenge. chaliye hum sab milkar inko bachate hai. last century me humare desh main 40000 tigers the aur aaj sirf 1411 tigers hi bache hai. isliye abhi jagiye.........................WAKE-UP

i find the whole propaganda to be ironical, lacks sense, human race is getting fatter and at the same time loosing its grey cells to fat, first they say 1100 tigers left, and save tigers, wake up, what shit, are we killing the tigers, but for sure the poachers are, and they attentively read these blogs, watch tv and read newspaper on tiger conservation and will stop killing the tigers. Who the hell cares about the tigers, addressing an issue is a quick way to fame and for already famous a pr gesture, to potray social responsibility, leave the tigers alone in their plight and dont try to encash on a endangered species. I am ashamed.
